PC Benchmark List
2019 is a very weird time for people that have never bothered to bench their systems since the late aughts. I know it’s been for me.
And the usual tools of the past have gone on to becoming legacy, subscription-dependent tools that are usually a means out of reach for some people that just want to build budget machines for gaming or just for having measures with regards to performance and reliability and compare that to the costs spent for putting together the machine - to see if the purchases were worth the money.
So for personal reference, I made this list of contemporary benchmarking software because, fortunately, today, there’s a variety of competition in the benchmark software building scene.
I will be updating this blog post’s listing as time goes on and I find more benchmarks and utilities.
A note about the JavaScript bench pressing
If you ever use Mozilla Firefox along with uMatrix, NoScript, and uBlock Origin, you’ll find that most websites are heavy users of JavaScript libraries - often times called upon by content delivery networks (CDNs) which cause for more latent loads of web pages.
What kinds of websites use these JavaScript libraries? All of them almost.
In fact it can be said some that might not even need a JavaScript library to be used on their website is going to use them because either the framework or content management system (CMS) they have been using to make their website includes calls for such libraries either locally or remotely (i.e. CDNs).
Keep in mind that the results have partially, if not half of it, to do with the browser you use. And also keep in mind that there are two major web/css render engines around now: Blink (Chromium and every browser based off it) and Gecko (Firefox but with Servo Project enhancements) while there are also two accompanying major JavaScript/WebAssembly engines for Chromium-based web browsers and Firefox: V8 and SpiderMonkey

I used a few already made lists and stuff I wrote down on OneNote scattered about in my computer.
So credit goes to the authors of these lists.

So two JavaScript bench press tests will be included in the list.
